Yorks and North Yorkshire Cultural Conference

The event will be a chance to celebrate York and North Yorkshire’s culture and find out about future opportunities for the creative and cultural sector. There will be the chance to hear cultural businesses’ experiences through guest speakers and local tours as well as networking opportunities.
There will be great speakers such as Gary Verity from Welcome to Yorkshire, Chris Monks Artistic Director at the Stephen Joseph Theatre and a key speaker from London 2012.
The York and North Yorkshire cultural partnership will also be unveiling the refreshed York and North Yorkshire cultural strategy and we are keen to have your input into that.
The event is at the Scarborough Spa (less than an hour from York by train) on 1st October. It will be 9:30 for a 10am start, finishing with lunch around 12:30pm. Below there is also the opportunity to book on informative tours of local cultural successes which will last for an hour after lunch, finishing at 2:30pm at the latest.
